As a youngster I enjoyed playing all sorts of sports as well as mountain walking. However after a series of accidents I ended up two and half years ago having a full knee replacement. The operation went well and had some physio afterwards. 6 months after the operation my knees were stiff, walking and bending were awkward.
I dropped into Uplands Sports Centre to try and find a Personal Trainer who could get me back to fitness. A smiling friendly Jon greeted me and yes they could help.
Now some 2 years later I can travel without problems , bend to tie up my shoes, and walk without difficulty. I try and go each week and spend time with Jon or one of his able colleagues to go through a series of exercises to keep me flexible. Our aim is to take a Boris bike cycling around London!
